Please keep in mind that wool is not waterproof like synthetic covers, but it is extremely absorbent and contains lanolin, which naturally repels moisture. This cover will stay dry longer the thicker and more absorbent the cloth diaper layer is underneath. Wool provides excellent moisture regulation; it wicks moisture away from the skin and can absorb up to one third of its weight in moisture and return it to the environment. In addition, it does not soil or retain odors easily, so it does not need to be washed very frequently. Made by Engel, these nappy covers are 100% organic virgin Merino wool, certified organic by the International Association of Natural Textile Industry (IVN) and the Global Organic Textile Standard.
